Starting in 2024, Florida’s PETS Act allows a veterinarian to establish a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship through a live video visit. That means our vets can diagnose, recommend treatment, and prescribe many medications without you ever leaving your home.
Prescription limit to know: Virtual prescriptions are capped at a 14-day supply for most medications, or up to one month for flea and tick prevention, before an in-person exam is required. Controlled substances always need a physical exam — no exceptions. We will always tell you plainly which category your pet’s situation falls into.
